Even if you have staff, they constantly run to you with questions and guidance, so you’re the one who ends up dealing with problems, and handling issues, as if nothing can really go on without your being there all the time. You find yourself bending your own rules to make clients happy, i.e. “I will not see clients on Monday, only to break it when a client says there is no way they have another day available”.

Frazzled. You might even be on the verge of burning out. You’re like that meme that drives the car, while eating lunch, while talking on the phone, while spilling coffee, while putting mascara on. You’re literally getting pulled in ten different directions ever day!

Confused. You don’t have clarity on how to bring in another person to help you. Where do you start? How do you know what to delegate? What if there isn’t enough to do? What if you run out of work for that person

I have been in your shoes, and I experienced the same challenges you are facing.  What was supposed to be a business where I could create my own schedule and feel the freedom of flexibility, turned into never ending to-do lists and a feeling of being spread too thin.  

 

I knew I needed a better system and some help, but I was so overwhelmed it was hard to imagine having the time to implement new strategies, let alone hire and train someone to help me. 

 

I was going on multiple appointments a day, creating and revising estimates, processing payments, doing all the project management, placing orders, dealing with problems and back orders, handling customer communication, interfacing with the workroom, figuring out bracket deductions, solving design and engineering problems, receiving orders, opening packages, going on installations – the list can go on. 

 

I worked full days, then put in nights when kids went to bed, early mornings when everyone was still asleep, and sneaked in hours during the weekends.  I was exhausted and pulled in a thousand different directions, with so many people needing me and having so many hats to wear. Plus the guilt of feeling like I wasn’t there for my family and the resentment that this life is not really what I signed up for. 

 
 

It doesn’t have to be this hard.

 

I could just feel that there should to be a better way, a way to enjoy the freedoms I had envisioned when I left the corporate world to start my business. A way to enjoy the successes of my business while also enjoying my personal time and spending guilt-free time with my family.

I had to make the decision to either scale back or scale up.


Otherwise, the hamster-in-the-wheel lifestyle was never going to end.

How Does It Work?

All sessions are in-person at the Vitalia Inc studio in Richboro, Pennsylvania. Here is what the schedule looks like.


Day One

You will arrange for and book a flight to the Newark, NJ airport (EWR), unless you plan to drive. It’s best if you plan for a flight that lands late afternoon, and I will arrange for car transport from the Airport to a Bed & Breakfast in New Hope, PA.

New Hope is a beautiful, quaint town not far from the Vitalia Inc Studio & Workroom, the perfect place to be pampered and clear your mind. The car ride is approximately an hour and a half from the airport to the Bed & Breakfast. When you arrive, you’ll enjoy a delicious meal and a relaxing evening, so you are well rested for your first VIP Day.



Day Two 

I will meet you at your B&B to have breakfast with you. Together, we will set our agenda for the day based on your specific needs and goals. We will travel together to my Studio where we will take a deep dive into your business, working through all the components of what makes a profitable, scalable, and potentially sellable window treatments business.

At the end of a very productive day, we will have dinner together, and I will arrange for car transport to return you to your B&B so you can rest up for the next day.


Day Three

I will arrange for car transport to pick you up in the morning and bring you back to the Studio, where we will spend half of a day working together making sure all of your questions are answered.

At the end of day, I will arrange for your travel back to the Newark Airport for you to depart on the return flight you have booked. It’s best if this flight is also scheduled for late afternoon.

Your Bed & Breakfast, evening dinners, and travel to and from the airport and between the B&B and Vitalia Inc Studio are included.

Flights must be booked and paid for by you.

How do I know that my strategies work?  

 
Let me share the financial numbers of Vitalia Inc.  Actual black-and-white financial facts.


I went from $500,000 in revenue in 2018, when I was a solopreneur to over $1,300,000 in revenue 2021 & 2022 when I put together the team and created the foundational systems to support it. 

I doubled the business, and actually work less now.  I enjoy my free time.  And I’m proud that I support six families by providing awesome work opportunities for my people.   

 

Let me also share a very personal story of survival. 


On a beautiful crisp afternoon of March 5th, 2021 my office, studio, and custom drapery workroom experienced a devastating electrical fire.  It destroyed over 100 bolts of fabrics and many blinds, shades, and fabricated treatments awaiting installation.   

 

The fire may have ruined our possessions, but it did not ruin our spirits.  We were able to be back up and running within 48 hours – all due to our locked-in processes & systems that did exactly what they were supposed to do.

Having lived every workroom’s nightmare, I can tell you right now that my business structure and systems are the reason my business was able to bounce back so quickly and continue serving our clients with minimal interruption to workflow.   We not only survived.  We thrived.  With vigor and resolve.  And at the same time calmness that we will be ok. 
 

Because my business structure and operations rely heavily on technology and digital files, we did not lose any of our project files or specifications. Everything, including project statuses, schedules, and orders, are managed digitally.

The fire happened on a Friday afternoon, and by Monday we had already reached out to all of our designers with an update. We immediately began the process of reordering lost product and fabricating replacements, and were able to jump right back into action, with appointments and many installations continuing uninterrupted.  


In April 2022, I closed on the purchase of the building that burned down, which we previously rented. Because of the fire, it needed a full renovation. We completely gutted the building, dropped floors and raised ceilings, knocked down walls, and created a workspace that served our growing needs.


In October 2022, we officially moved in to the beautifully renovated Vitalia Inc Studio & Workroom where we host our VIP Days.
