Progress at 67 Almshouse

 

It’s so exciting to see the finishing touches installed at the new Vitalia Inc Studio and Workroom! We had some pretty exciting progress in December. First, updates in the kitchen!

Our new refrigerator was installed!

I can’t wait for all the events and lunch & learns we’ll be able to host, and having a fully equipped kitchen is going to make entertaining so much easier. We also had some new furniture arrive, including a conversation set for my office, and we have a big, beautiful conference table for client presentations.

We’ve also made some updates to the workroom. We have a brand-new hoist! The hoist will be extremely useful for handing drapery panels made out of natural fibers that are prone to stretching. When we pre-stretch them in the workroom prior to hemming and installing, it makes for fewer surprises during installation.

And perhaps the biggest change to date, is the gorgeous wallpaper we had installed.

We’re getting closer and closer to the finish line! There is still quite a bit to do - I’m sure you noticed the lack of window treatments, haha! Those are coming soon - our clients projects always come first, and with the really big projects we’ve had, our own window coverings are still in the planning stages. But my team is loving having all this space, and such a beautiful office!

Our new studio gives us a welcoming space for client meetings and presentations, as well as the much-needed space for shipping and receiving, storing rolls of fabric, our sample library, and future open houses and lunch and learns.

But what I’m really looking forward to is having the capability of hosting VIP Experience Days for my window treatment colleagues, which is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time.

Running and scaling a window treatment business can be down right brutal! I know, because I lived through the challenges. The long work days that run far into the evening, catching up on weekends, missing out on time with friends and family, frustrated by repetitive tasks, and trying to keep track of orders and project statuses...the struggle is real!
